MEET HALLIE

INSPIRATION
With a lifelong love of aesthetics, Hallie finds inspiration for her art primarily in nature and interior design. Both provide color pairings that speak to her, textures she can't resist and visually interesting layers that spark her imagination.
STYLE
Though most artists stick to one medium, Hallie enjoys them all for different reasons. Many of her paintings are mixed media, and her abstract style is inspired by unique color combinations, gestural marks and texture. She often creates pieces with a home in mind hoping that her art adds life to a space, while also drawing a viewer in and making them feel something.
BACKGROUND
Hallie's penchant for art began at an early age. In preschool, her parents turned a large walk-in closet into her personal art room. She would spend hours there, often drawing or painting on individual pages of construction paper that she would tape together to form one larger work, like smaller pieces forming a finished puzzle.
Though she has painted on and off again for years, it wasn't until March of 2020 that she set up her home studio and decided to start painting for others.
She grew up in Memphis, Tennessee where she received her B.A. from Rhodes College after also studying at St. John's College in Oxford, England. She currently lives with her husband, three children and golden retriever in Alexandria, Louisiana.
